AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Inspection for assessment; assessments for normal highway vehicles to BD21; design of two small span culverts replacing thin buried unreinforced slabs with precast deck units on precast block abutments.

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS

• Assessment of two masonry arches and two short span mass concrete buried slab culverts. Precast deck units
• precast abutment blocks to speed site works and minimise crane size required.

KEY FEATURES

Minor road with restricted access; simplifying construction method reducing time on site with use of precast elements.
