AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Feasibility study; assessment of original bridges; detailed design of road widening, overlays and drainage; bridge deck design.

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS

• 5 replacement bridges with timber decks on steel beams
• 4 replacement bridges with precast concrete decks, one on new reinforced concrete abutments
• 23km road with numerous road improvements at critical locations such as bends, weak edges, drainage ditch extensions and rock excavation.

KEY FEATURES

Single track dead-end road public access; restricted construction access.
