ULLAPOOL HARBOUR SHORE STREET & INNER HARBOUR IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Ullapool Harbour Trust and Transport Scotland have worked together to widen the Trunk Road of Shore Street in Ullapool (A893). This allows two HGVs to pass each other alongside the on-street parking next to the shops and local residences. A new wider footway on the north side and a 6.5m wide promenade for shared cycle and pedestrian use, sheltered behind a new stone-faced wave wall. A new marina is provided behind a floating breakwater, with a new shore quay constructed to allow dredging of the inner harbour.
