TARBERT (HARRIS) FERRY TERMINAL UPGRADE WORKS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Upgrade of the existing Tarbert (Harris) Ferry Terminal to modernise ageing structures and accommodate new, larger CMAL vessels. Phase 1 involved landside and marine civil works. Phase 2 principally included construction of the new ferry terminal building. All works were designed and constructed to avoid disruption to the life-line ferry service.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
We were involved from concept stage through detailed design, licencing / consenting and procurement. During construction we provided site supervision for both construction phases and managed the Phase 1 NEC4 contract

Landside Works – Demolition, temporary building(s), new ferry terminal building, reclamation, marshalling, road works, foundations, services, fixtures and fittings.

Marine Works – Dredging, reclamation, rock armouring, construction of a pier, fendering, retaining walls, scour protection, outfalls, services, foundations, fixtures and fittings.
KEY FEATURES
Works completed without disruption to existing ferry service within heart of Tarbert village. Phase 1 won the 2022 SCEA ‘Marine Infrastructure Award’.
