Modernisation of the NLB Depot at Oban to create substantial new hard standing areas, increased berthing for NLB maintenance vessels, with construction of a new storage/ workshop building, access improvements and refurbishment of an existing listed building.

Detailed design of marine works including piling, flat slab reinforced concrete deck, rock fill, rock armouring and fendering. Design of new storage/workshop building foundations and hard standing areas.

Preparation of Alternative Design to secure contract and achieve significant cost saving for Client. Detailed soils analysis and monitoring to permit replacement of significant areas of piled deck with rock armoured fill. Extension of existing berthing quay with reinforced concrete flat slab supported on tubular steel piles. Foundation for buoy refurbishment building comprising concrete beams on steel bearing piles
