LOCHMADDY FERRY TERMINAL UPGARDE WORKS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The existing pier at Lochmaddy was strengthened to support new fendering for a larger ferry to be used on the route. The pier was also extended with a 33m long concrete caisson constructed in a dry dock. The marshalling yard was enlarged to service the larger number of vehicles for the larger ferry. The berth was dredged to -5m CD, including rock dredging at the existing pier.

KEY FEATURES
