PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Raasay Trust have successfully installed a small marina inside Raasay harbour to serve visiting yachts and cruise boat tenders.  This links well with the new Distillery Visitor Centre and other Raasay attractions for visiting tourists.

  • 88m of 3m wide pontoons

  • 3no. 10m finger units

  • 12m long hammerhead

  • 24m long access bridge

  • 17.5m long fixed bridge

KEY FEATURES

Fitting the marina into the small, relatively sheltered, bay inside the harbour was a challenge due to limited water depth and the area to be kept clear for the CalMac ferry to Sconser.
