Wallace Stone have been working with Transport Scotland and Ullapool Harbour Trust to widen the road along Shore Street to the ferry terminal to allow two-way traffic past the on-street parking. A 6m wide promenade has been introduced for shared pedestrian and cycle use on the seaward side of the road, sheltered by a stone faced wave wall. A new marina and inner harbour has been created with a new sheet piled Shore Quay, dredged basin and shelter provided by a floating breakwater.
These works have now been completed by Contractor, R J Macleod, who undertook the civil works, and Inland and Coastal Marina Systems, who provided the pontoons and breakwater.
